Mildred K. Barnett

Mrs. Barnett, 97, of West Long Branch, died June 5, 2009, at home. She was an elementary school teacher at Holy Trinity School, Long Branch; Holy Innocents School, Neptune; and St. Jerome School, West Long Branch, retiring in the 1970s. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence J. Barnett in 1999; a brother, Paul Kean; and a sister, Mary Guilliams. She is survived by four sons, John A. of Boston, Peter J. of Rumson, Michael T. of Kentucky, and Stephen F. of Rumson; a daughter, Elizabeth Barnett of New York City; three brothers, Michael Kean of Minnesota, and Francis Kean and Philip Kean, both of Nebraska; two sisters, Alice Litherland and Barbara Ramsey, both of Nebraska; and nine grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Entombment was at St. Catharine's Mausoleum, Sea Girt. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
