Provident Bank Foundation donates $5K to Wellness Community

The Provident Bank Foundation has donated a $5,000 grant to The Wellness Community– The Diney Goldsmith Center, Eatontown, for its social support programs for people touched by cancer.

The donation from the foundation will directly benefit the organization’s newest program, Living Beyond Cancer, a monthly networking group for long-term cancer survivors.

“We are so thankful to The Provident Bank Foundation for helping us expand our program offerings, because without funding, we could not provide these muchneeded services to our community,” said Ilene Winters, executive director of The Wellness Community.

The Wellness Community serves Monmouth and Ocean counties by providing non-medical support services for people with cancer and their loved ones.

“It is our pleasure to contribute to The Wellness Community–The Diney Goldsmith Center. It is so important for both those living with cancer and their loved ones to have access to much-needed social support, and we’re happy to help the organization carry out its mission,” said Kendall Warsaw, executive director of The Provident Bank Foundation.

The Provident Bank Foundation was established in 2003 to enhance the quality of life in New Jersey through support of nonprofits, institutions, schools and other organizations that provide services in communities served by The Provident Bank. Since its founding, the foundation has provided more than $13 million in grants for programs focusing on education, health, wellness, recreation, the arts and social and civic services.
