Mrs. Greene, 89, of Little Silver and formerly of Rumson and Fair Haven, died Jan. 31, 2010, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was a volunteer for many years at Riverview Medical Center. Mrs. Greene was past president of the Rumson Garden Club, one of the founding members of the Shrewsbury River Retriever Club, and a member of the first class of students to graduate from Rumson Country Day School, Rumson. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip E.N. Greene Jr.; and siblings Newcombe “Bud” Baker and Marion (Baker) Sloan. Surviving are three children, Philip E.N. Greene III and his wife, Audrey, of Millsboro, Del., Sharon G. Ogden and her husband, Dan, of Lavallette, and Christopher D. Greene and his wife, Robyn, of Middletown, R.I.; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at St. Georges by the River Church, 7 Lincoln Ave, Rumson, 1 p.m. Feb. 6. The burial service will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
