Ashow of bookart, collage and drawings by Mike Quon will open Saturday, June 12, at NovelTeas in Red Bank.

Postcard illustrations by Mike Quon An opening reception for “Novel Art at NovelTeas” will be held 6-9 p.m. Saturday.

Quon is a graphic artist best known for his colorful, bold brushstroke style and whimsical depictions of favorite places, everyday objects, people and architecture. The son of a Disney animator and student of the pop art movement, Quon has had a distinguished career as a graphic designer and illustrator.

His fine art can be found in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, The New York Historical Society, The Wakita Design Museum, The U.S. Air Force Art Collection and The New York Times.
