Florence Mary Gilmour
Mrs. Gilmour of Alderbrook, Little Silver, died May 27, 2010, at home. She was the first vestrywoman at Trinity Church in Red Bank and served on the Altar Guild at St. Georges by the River Episcopal Church, Rumson. Mrs. Gilmour later worked in the library at Forrestdale School and at the Talbots store in Little Silver. Mrs. Gilmour was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Thomas J. Gilmour Jr., in 1987. Surviving is a brother and sister in-law, Croft and Rebecca Grantham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Patti, of Fair Haven, and David and Lisa, of Little Silver; three daughters, Marsha and her husband, Dr. Alexander Douglass of Corsicana, Texas, Pamela Gilmour and her fiancĂ©, Gary Jackson, of Phoenix, Md., and Anne and her husband, Gary DelloStritto, of St. Charles, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and her caregivers, Szilvia and Ruby. A funeral service was held at St. George’s by the River Episcopal Church. Interment followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Jersey Blood Bank, 494 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
