Julia D. DeFelice
Miss DeFelice, 20, of Tinton Falls, died unexpectedly July 16, 2010, in Dover, Del. She recently completed her junior year at Wesley College in Dover, where she was majoring in exercise science. Miss DeFelice was a member of the women’s soccer team and recently moved into the school’s top 20 all-time scoring list. She was a 2008 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, where she was a premier player on the soccer team and a member of the 2005 state champion squad. Miss DeFelice was an outstanding member of the Ocean Elites traveling soccer team. Her most rewarding job was working with disabled children through the Monmouth County Park System. Miss DeFelice was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thomas J. DeFelice Sr., and her maternal grandparents, John and Catherine McVey. She is survived by her parents, William “Bill” and Jill DeFelice; a sister, Olivia; her paternal grandmother, Dolores V. DeFelice of Seaside Park; 11 aunts; 10 uncles; 27 cousins; and countless extended family, friends, and teammates. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to Red Bank Catholic Memorial Fund in memory of Julia DeFelice for the RBC girls soccer team. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was entrusted with arrangements.
