Willie J. Yarbrough
Mr. Yarbrough, 66, of Manalapan, formerly of Tinton Falls, died June 24, 2010, at home. He was born in Williamson, Ga., and settled in Red Bank in 1962. He worked for the Preferred Construction, Bayonne, and the Patock Construction, Tinton Falls, as a labor foreman, retiring in 2008. He was predeceased by his first wife, Inez; three sisters, Rosa May Yarbrough, Opalnell Smith and Marjorie Pack; and three brothers, Charlie, Johnnie B. and Samuel Yarbrough. Surviving are his wife, Arlene Fitzpatrick; siblings, Larry and sister-in-law, Martha Yarbrough of Red Bank; Lee Andrew Yarbrough of Florida; Julia Neely of Union City, Ga., Barbara G. Reid of Red Bank, and Georgia Mae and brother-in-law, William Arnold; a daughter, Jada Hicks of Eatontown; sons, Darrell, of Eatontown, Allen and his wife, Janis, of Sharonville, Ohio, Tyron and his wife, Tina, of Tempe. Ariz., and Steven and Joan, of Neptune; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral service was held at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold. Arrangements were by the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
