      Reaction to sandwich boards, which were once banned, will be monitored

      RED BANK — Sandwich-board signs will be making their way back onto the sidewalks of the downtown this month. The Red Bank Borough Council passed an ordinance by a vote of 5-1 on July 12 granting permission for business owners and organizations to place signs on sidewalks in front of their shops for a five-month trial period.       Mrs. Raffalovich, 85, of Little Silver, died July 15, 2010, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Paterson and lived in Belmar before moving to Little Silver 58 years ago.
