Thomas Aitken, son of Curtis and Anita Aitken of Shrewsbury, has graduated from Rowan University, Glassboro, with a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems. He is a graduate of High Technology High School, Lincroft.

Keri-Ann Byers of Red Bank was selected for dean’s third honors for the spring 2010 semester at Pace University, New York.

Kurt Campanile of Tinton Falls, a junior at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., has been placed on the deans’ commendation list for the spring 2010 semester.

Drew University, Madison, awarded advanced degrees to the following local students: Aidan Patrick Ehrenberg of Rumson received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree; Michael Joseph Oliver of Shrewsbury received a Master of Divinity degree; Robert Jeffrey Long of Sea Bright received a Master of Divinity degree; and Russell Brandon Horner of Red Bank received a Master of Letters degree

Genevieve S. Dunikoski from Fair Haven, who attends Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing, New York, was selected for the dean’s second honors for the spring 2010 semester.

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s MetropolitanCampus for Professional and International Studies, Teaneck, awarded degrees to the following local students: Patricia Romei of Red Bank and Jason Clark of Rumson.

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, Madison, announced that the following local residents have graduated: Justine Trocchia of Oceanport, Kristen Mahon of Oceanport, Gregory Stockley of Red Bank, Lucy Garofalo of Red Bank, Georgean Arsons of Sea Bright and Courtney Van Pelt of Shrewsbury.

Adrienne Gallo, of Red Bank, a psychology student at The University of Sciences, Philadelphia, has been named to its dean’s list for the spring semester.

Katharine Potter, class of 2011 at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., earned highest honors for the spring 2010 semester. She is the daughter of Thayer and Laurie Potter of Rumson.

Kristine E. Harjes of Rumson has been awarded the Ted Engberg Conservation Scholarship by the Monmouth County Audubon Society. The scholarship was offered to high school graduates who will be continuing their education in college and will be studying conservation. This ongoing scholarship, which is given in the memory of a past executive committeemember, allows the MCAS to carry out its mission “to promote the awareness, appreciation and conservation of natural resources through activism and educational outreach.”

Harjes graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and will be majoring in environmental sciences this fall at McDaniel College. Her essay states that she has a passion for the environment, proven by her leadership in a habitat restoration project at Riverside Park in Rumson. She plans to use her degree in environmental sciences to work in conservation and spread awareness about environmental responsibility.

She has received a certificate and a $1,500 check from MCAS to be used toward her education in conservation.

Loyola University, Baltimore, has named the following local residents to its dean’s list for the fall semester: from Tinton Falls, Gilbert Hernandez; from Shrewsbury, Megan Conley; from Little Silver, Alexis Ferraris and Mary Kiernan; from Red Bank, Molly Harrington, Jennifer Salese and Kyle Tognan; and from Fair Haven, Erin McNally.

Lauren Michel, a resident of Little Silver, received a Master of Science in geology during the 2010 commencement ceremonies at SouthernMethodist University, Dallas.

Rider University, Lawrenceville, celebrated its 145th commencement with more than 1,500 undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees awarded. Local degree recipients include: Daniel Graham from Red Bank, Kelly Wojciehowski from Fair Haven and Dominique Carnevale from Oceanport.

Seton Hall, South Orange, named the following local residents to its dean’s list for the spring semester: from Tinton Falls, Daphne Joyce S. Gonzales and Grace Jean Chung; from Red Bank, Megan Ann Sweeney and Dana Marie Baker; and from Rumson, Andrea Morales Raywood.

Seton Hall University, South Orange, conferred degrees on the following local residents: from Tinton Falls, Alyssa Lynn Black and Daphne Joyce S. Gonzales; from Red Bank, Craig A. Bahrs, Stephen Johnson, Laurel D. Thomas, Kellie L. Skidmore, ChristopherD. Huss, Kristin M. Ciccone, Dana Marie Baker and Nicholas Sebastian Raspanti; from Fair Haven, Jordon Lupon; and from Oceanport, Melissa Taylor Bahrs and Linda Dolores Fellman.

Alexis Hess Sowuleski, Little Silver, daughter of Kate Hess and Vincent Sowuleski, has graduated with high honors with a Bachelor of Science in BizTech and a Master of Science in project management from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken. The High Technology High School graduate also earned a spot on the dean’s list for every semester at Stevens. In 2006 she was named a Greater Media Newspapers Future Leader.
