Jane Dombroski Carbone
Mrs. Carbone, 78, of Red Bank, died Aug. 12, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Monmouth County, she worked as a bookkeeper at the former Crate’s Liquors, a home health aide, and a postal clerk in Colts Neck prior to retiring. Mrs. Dombroski was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Estella Dombroski, and 10 brothers and sisters; Sadie Peterson, Francis, Charles, Bernard, Anna DeBlois Dacy, Helen, Louis, Joseph, Alexander, and Clementine Barron. Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Lester A. Carbone; four children, Janet and Michael Kranis of Shrewsbury, Anthony and Aileen Carbone of Altus, Okla., Phyllis Clayton of Spencerport, N.Y., and Claire and Paul Hackett of Binghamton, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James RC Church, Red Bank. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Donations may be made to her alma mater, Red Bank Catholic High School, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was entrusted with her care.
