Mr. Barry, 85, of Red Bank, died Aug. 10, 2010, at his home. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II from 1943-1946, and in the Korean War from 1950-52. Mr. Barry was a member of the Old Bridge Police Department for more than 30 years until his retirement as a captain in 1989. He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Robert. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Margaret; his daughters, Margaret “Midge” Barry Falkovic and her husband, Frank, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Christine Hewitt and her husband, Frank, of Rumson; six grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters-inlaw and nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Red Bank at Tower Hill, Red Bank. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was entrusted with arrangements.
