Red Bank Charter School launches new website
RED BANK — Red Bank Charter School (RBCS) has launched a new website with improved features, such as a more interactive platform.
According to a press release from the school, the new site launch is the result of months of collaboration and work among members of the board of trustees, faculty and staff, who worked on creating a site that is visually appealing to visitors, integrates social media and is informative to users.
The site features links to RBCS programs and affiliations, as well as an updated photo stream through the media gallery, where photographs and videos are uploaded for viewing.
The school’s theme of “Mission in Motion” is not only applicable to the website, but also in the school’s curriculum and events that students can become involved with, according to the press release.
For example, the 2012-13 Lifelong Fitness Program teaches children healthy exercise habits that may continue through adulthood. The program focuses on wellness and fitness through nutrition and exercise activities such as yoga classes for first-graders, ballet class for second-graders, ice skating sessions for fifth-graders and a cross-fit class for eighth-graders.
Other initiatives include the Service Learning Program for grades K-8 that helps students learn more about themselves and their talents through working with community partners, as well as an internship program in which eighth-graders can gain experience working with local businesses.
The Red Bank Charter School is a K-8 public school founded in 1998 and has a current enrollment of 180 students. More information is available at www.redbankcharterschoo.com.
